Situated in Ibsley just 2.5 miles from Ringwood in The New Forest, The Old Beams Inn is an 11th Century beautiful, old, oak-beam building. Inside there is cosy, intimate seating (perfect for a relaxing afternoon or evening by our open fire), as well as a more formal dining area for a delicious meal. There is also a private function room available, perfect for one-off or regular events and also outside seating.

On Wednesday 19th September we will be supporting
The Morgan's Vale, Redlynch & Woodfalls Branch of The Royal British Legion
with our monthly raffle.

About The Morgan's Vale, Redlynch & Woodfalls Branch of The Royal British Legion :

Currently we, The Royal British Legion, are engaged in making the community celebrations, this November, an extra special affair marking the completion of World War 1.

We have been successful so far with raising funds for the improvement of the Remembrance parade and Service.  We have purchased, with the Parish Council, a splendid memorial bench to be mounted at Bowers hill and we have great hopes of a second seat for the Lover Green area.  (£900 each) 

There will be many other items attracting expenditure for this event.  Some will be, new service sheets for the church service, engraving for the enlarged crosses to be mounted at Bowers Hill and other items will need paying for.  All contributions will be gratefully received. 



Your ticket for our September 2018 dinner will cost £28.00 per person.
(This includes your travel to the restaurant, a Two Course Dinner and tips for our driver and the restaurant staff)

Booking Cut-Off Time

We need to receive your booking, menu choices and payment by early evening on:
Wednesday 12th September 2018
Please try not to leave it until this date as we may be fully booked.


Tickets will be allocated on a first booked and paid basis.
It may be necessary to return bookings if received after we have sold out. It would be a good idea to enquire first before sending
your booking/payment the nearer we get to the 12th September 2018
(If tickets remain unsold, later bookings may be accepted depending upon how near we are to the 19th September and whether the restaurant will
accept more bookings.)

IMPORTANT: We cannot guarantee any refunds for late cancellations, after the 12th September, unless we have diners on a waiting list
who will not only take the place but also the menu choices you made.

Main Course:

[VEGETARIAN] Roasted portobello mushrooms, pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes, wild rocket and parmesan salad with blue cheese. [V]

[COD] 49's Ringwood Beer battered Cod and chips served with mushy peas and homemade tartar sauce.

[CHICKEN] Chicken wrapped in bacon served with crushed new potatoes and a white wine & mushroom sauce.

[SAUSAGES] Three Pork Lincolnshire sausages, mashed potato, peas and onion gravy.

[PASSATA] Aubergine passata with Wild Rice, Toasted Almonds, Lemon Yoghurt and Basil. [V] 

[SALMON] Fillet of salmon served with green beans, new potatoes and a pesto dressing. 


[CHEESECAKE] Vanilla Raspberry & Walnut cheesecake served with pouring cream.

[ICECREAM] Two scoops of Jude's vanilla ice cream.

[LEMONTART] Home-made Lemon Tart served with vanilla ice cream.

[BROWNIE] Chocolate Brownie served with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream.

[PANNACOTTA] Maple syrup and vanilla panna cotta fresh mixed berries and toasted flaked almonds

[CHEESE/BISCS] Cheeseboard

Coach Pickup Points:

We have arranged the following pickup points on the evening. We hope these will be near to most peoples houses.
Some times and pickup points may be added or removed according to who is coming on the evening.


The above times are estimates. Please try to be at your pickup point 5 minutes before the listed time as we are often ahead of time.

switched on once you have left your house. We will make our contact phone number available to you in case of emergency.
