Local Dining Out Group March Dinner

We will be dining at The Chapter House, St.John's Street, Salisbury


Situated in the heart of historic Salisbury, the Chapter House comprises a cosy restaurant, friendly pub and comfortable letting rooms and lies within easy reach of some of Southern England’s most pleasant landmarks. The comfortable dining room is perfect for a meal with friends or family.

Local Dining Out Group Monthly Charity Raffle:
  As we move into 2017 we will be supporting different charities on a monthly basis. We started in January with the Stars Appeal supporting Salisbury District Hospital (£81.01) and the Salisbury Trust for The Homeless in February (£50.54) Our idea will be to donate to smaller and even more LOCAL charities. Please send in any suggestions and charity contact details (web address preferred)

Our chosen charity for March is Headway, Salisbury, The Brain Injury Association. Their mission is to promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provide information, support and services to survivors, their families and carers. In addition, Headway will campaign to reduce the incidence of brain injury. Your ticket for our March 2017 dinner will cost £28.00 per person.
(This includes your travel to the restaurant, a Two Course Dinner and tips for our driver and the restaurant staff)

Booking Cut-Off Time

We need to receive your booking, menu choices and payment by early evening on:
Wednesday 15th March 2017
Please try not to leave it until this date as we may be fully booked.


Tickets will be allocated on a first booked and paid basis.
It may be necessary to return bookings if received after we have sold out. It would be a good idea to enquire first before sending your booking/payment the nearer we get to the 15th March 2017
(If tickets remain unsold, later bookings may be accepted depending upon how near we are to the 22nd March and whether the restaurant will accept more bookings.)
IMPORTANT: We cannot guarantee any refunds for late cancellations, after the 15th March, unless we have diners on a waiting list
who will not only take the place but also the menu choices you made.

Main Course:

[STEAK] 7oz Rump Steak, served medium rare (unless you indicate otherwise when booking)
with skinny chips and peas.

[BREAM] Pan fried fillet of sea bream with crushed Jersey royals, green beans and tomato, garlic & herb salsa.

[BEEF] 12 hours slow-cooked feather-blade of beef with creamy mash, sautéed kale and gravy.

[CURRY] Durban style Chicken curry, served with savoury rice and sambals
(Durban style chicken curry is a pungent dish comprised of chicken simmered in a spicy gravy. Key ingredients include garamasla, finely chopped
onions and tomatoes, curry leaves and coriander.
(Sambal is a hot sauce typically made from a mixture of variety of chili peppers with secondary ingredients such as shrimp paste, fish sauce, garlic,
ginger, shallot, scallion, palm sugar, lime juice, and rice vinegar or other vinegars.)

[FISH/CHIPS] Real ale battered cod served with chunky chips, peas & tartare sauce.

Grilled halloumi & avocado burger with a tomato onion salsa, served with chunky chips [V]


[CRUMBLE] Winter fruit crumble with custard.

Belgian Waffle with toffee sauce, flaked almonds and ice cream.

[FONDANT] Chocolate fondant with mint choc ice cream.

[CHEESE/BISC] Isle of Wight blue cheese with crackers, grapes and chutney

[STICKYTOFFEE] Sticky toffee pudding with mascarpone and ice cream.  

[CHEESECAKE] Passionfruit and blueberry cheesecake served with mango sorbet.
