Join us for our next "Local Dining Out" experience on Wednesday 25th March:

Location: .   The Avon Causeway Hotel at Hurn
The hotel is located near the village of Hurn, near to the Hurn (Bournemouth) airport. Recently refitted there is a spacious lounge and dining area, bar and outside a Pullman Carriage.

Dining: .   Pullman Railway Carriage
The hotel is in fact the old Hurn Railway Station. We will be dining in the Pullman Railway Carriage which is sited on a short piece of railway track beside the old station platform.

Travel: .   Herrington's Coach Door to Door
We have arranged pick up points as near as possible where you live, more points can be added. Our coach will be Herrington's
31 seater, as used in January 2015

Drinks: .   Buy your drinks at the bar on arrival
You will find Wadworth beer at the bar including 6X, Bishop's Tipple and more. There is also a good selection of wine by the glass or bottle. (wine selection)

Choose your table in the restaurant
We have another interesting selection of main course choices for you for our March dinner. You have 6 choices of mains, 2 of which are vegetarian options and then a further 6 choices of dessert.

Your ticket for our March 25th dinner will cost £22.00 per person covering your two course dinner and the travel by coach.


Please choose one main and one dessert from the following list:
(vegetarian options listed with [V] )

Main Meals:
(1) Pork 'rib-eye' steak with dauphinoise, fine beans, apple fritters and a cider and mustard cream sauce.

(2) Baked Fillet of Scottish Salmon, pine nut and herb crust, sautéed potatoes, greens and a prawn sauce.

(3) Free-Range chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella & wrapped in pancetta with a smokey barbeque glaze with slow roasted tomato & sweet potato fries.

(4) Homemade steak & 6X ale shortcrust pastry pie with glazed carrots & buttered mash potato.

(5) Goat's Cheese and vegetable wellington with a tomato & courgette Provencal [V]

(6) Roasted Pepper & sun-blushed tomato linguine with basil pasta [V]

(1) Sticky Toffee Pudding with a rich toffee sauce and ice cream 

(2) Gluten free chocolate brownie with ice cream and chocolate sauce

(3) Mango, lime and passion fruit cheesecake, mango sorbet. 

(4) Baked chocolate tart with raspberry compote and clotted cream.

(5) Dorset Blue Vinney with traditional accompaniments 

(6) A single cup of coffee, as an alternative dessert. 

If you require a cup of coffee after your dessert you can order and pay for this at the bar.
