Join us for our next "Local Dining Out" experience on Wednesday 25th February:

Location: .   The White Hart at Bishopstone
The White Hart has a large but cosy dining area, with different
size tables. We will be using most of this area which is also very
near to the main bar.

Travel: .   Herrington's Coach Door to Door
We will be using a newer 31 seater coach purchased by Herrington's in the Autumn 2014 - not the same coach as our Surma Valley trip this one has wider seats!

Drinks: .   Buy your drinks at the bar on arrival
Beers include Hopback - Golden Best 3.5% and Sharp's Doombar, 4%, with other drinks on tap, plus wines for you to choose from
(wine selection)

Food: .   Choose your table in the restauarant
Our dinner in January was a Special Offer of 3 courses which we hadn't expected to be able to provide. Some people said it was too much to eat. We now return to a 2 course menu, which is what we had intended when planning our Local Dining Out.


This remains at £20.00 per person covering your two course dinner and the travel by coach.

Main Meals:
(1) Roast Pork Tenderloin stuffed with Prunes & Spinach wrapped in Bacon
served with Dauphinoise Potatoes and a Wild Mushroom Sauce.

(2) Chicken Chasseur (Poached Chicken Fillet in a Red Wine Tomato, Mushroom & Tarragon Sauce)
Served with Parmentier Potatoes & Honey Glazed Carrots.

(3) Smoked Haddock Florentine with Wilted Spinach & Mash Potatoes
and a Cream Smoked Cheese Sauce

(4) [V] Butternut Squash and Asparagus Risotto cakes served with a
Sweet Potato Puree and a Red Onion and Tomato Salad

(5) New addition by request: Steak & Ale Pie served with peas and French Fries.

(6) Sticky Toffee Pudding with a rich Sticky Date Sauce topped with Cornish Clotted Cream

(7) Classic Vanilla Creme Brulee with homemade Shortbread

(8) White Chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake with Minted Chantilly Cream

(9) Warm Chocolate Fudge Cake served with Vanilla Ice Cream

(10) A Cup of Coffee
(Please note we have included option 9 as an alternative to the above desserts.
If you require a cup of coffee after your dessert you can order and pay for this at the bar)
